I work with

Insecure, anxious, and burnt-out individuals seeking balance, hope and confidence in themselves.

I work with my clients to feel a sense of calm, slow that racing mind and stop that incessant inner critic that tells you that you are not enough, not doing enough, and that you do not fit in. Many of my clients struggle with expressing their emotions in a way they feel proud of. They often regret how they handled things whether it was an outburst or a shut down. Despite that, they can’t seem to make lasting change in how they handle their feelings.

Support for a Range of Experiences

First Responders

It’s fulfilling to be able to give back to the community members who help us. Several of my family members & countless clients over the years are first responders. I understand the particular challenges that First Responders face, including burn out, complex traumas and the need to use your skills & resources to fix things and people.  folks feel a sense of empowerment and wholeness in these times.

Teens

I also work with teens who are struggling to find acceptance with their peers and feel depressed or anxious about life and school. I help teens work through their fears and challenges, begin to feel like they belong and help them understand who they are becoming.  In doing so, relationships with parents feel less contentious or parents feel more confident as their teens get closer to independence

LGBTQ2S+ folks

Living in the Central Coast can be challenging for LGBTQ2S+ individuals. Navigating care and community can be daunting. I support this community by helping them feel seen and encouraging them to live authentically. Many prefer a quieter life without feeling pressured to fit in. The current political climate is scary for many of my clients. In addition, many of the folk I work with feel as if their queerness is just a part of their identity, not their whole being. I help these folks feel a sense of empowerment and wholeness in these times.

Men

I work with men who are struggling to express and understand their emotions, struggling to show up for themselves and who wish to strengthen and nurture their relationships and feel comfortable doing so. These men sometimes struggle with anger and are seeking to control their emotions and feel a sense of control in their lives.

College students

The college students I work with often feel the pressure of large class loads, social expectations and worry about living up to their parent’s expectations. They often feel challenged by their peers, and dating.  I help students feel a sense of balance and calm in their layered and busy lives.

Women

I work with women learning to set boundaries. These women feel frustrated and angry about constantly giving and struggle with feeling burnt out in their jobs and relationships. I help them understand the power of boundaries and navigate through them and learn confidence in themselves as they make changes in their lives to better serve themselves.

The people I work with often feel stuck, repeating the same choices and feeling frustrated, angry, irritable, anxious and depressed

Many struggle with holding healthy boundaries in their lives. They often feel bad because they take out their frustrations on others, mentally beat themselves up, and end up feeling exhausted and/or restless.

Common client experiences

Trauma, Anger management, Sleeping problems, & feeling numb

I also work with people who have experienced trauma, and struggle with anger, sleep, reliving past events, and feeling numb. They struggle with expressing their emotions and sometimes feel sudden rage or anger and then feel guilty about this. They feel held hostage by their anger. I see this often with my first responder clients. [link to the first responder page]
